Oil & Gas Vacancy

Yesterday I was at Kemaman, just a 1 day trip. For those who don't know, all the oil&gas/offshore in Peninsular Malaysia (Tanah Melayu la senang cite) will base in here or atleast will have their branches in here. Then I saw this company and just wonder what they do. So here is 1 relevant vacancy that i found:

According to our present and future business forecast there is a necessarily to strengthen our department man power by employing a

"H2S SAFETY ENGINEER (2 Position)" :

1. Qualification:

a) Education and skills. (What academic qualification, basic knowledge or skills will be necessary to perform his job)

Diploma or Degree in Engineering with at least 2 years experience in similar job or offshore drilling works.

Consider fluent speaking in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Familiar with offshore safety practices and drill are an advantage.

2. Responsibility. (Briefly state the general purpose of this position)

a) Installation and service of H2S Safety which includes;

i) Installation, calibration and maintenance of supplied equipment,
ii) To develop and implement H2S Contingency Plan,
iii) Train personnel in utilization of H2S safety / detection equipment,
iv) To assist rig or facility personnel in any capacity relative to control and recovery in the event of toxic gas emission that reach dangerous levels.

b) Participations in hazard identification and finding solutions.
